Wang Lu Awarded Toulmin Fellowship

Wang Lu, composer and Brown University Associate Professor of Music, earned a 2023-24 Toulmin Fellowship from the Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University and National Sawdust.

According to NYU's press release, the fellowships promote equity in the fields of choreography and musical composition by supporting women and other artists who are traditionally underrepresented in both fields. “We are delighted to continue our partnership with National Sawdust to support and nurture the work of these four talented artists,” says Jennifer Homans, founder and director of the Center for Ballet and the Arts. “We are grateful to the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation for its commitment to helping us build a diverse community of scholars and artists working in an environment that fosters the development of new ideas.”

Congratulations, Professor Wang Lu!
