Boston-based French hornist Jeremy Ronkin performs throughout the U.S. as an orchestral and a collaborative artist. Orchestral appearances include performances with the Portland Symphony in Maine, the Iris Orchestra in Tennessee, the Memphis Symphony, and the South Bend Symphony in Indiana, to name a few. As a chamber musician, he has performed with Burning River Brass, The RKD Ensemble, as well as The Hornithology Ensemble and others.

Also in demand to perform operas and musicals, he has been engaged by Opera Providence, and Opera Memphis, among others. He performed nearly 800 shows with the North American Tour of the Broadway musical Miss Saigon. At the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine he was engaged to play in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat featuring Clay Aiken.

Mr. Ronkin is also an experienced educator. Currently, Instructor of French horn and chamber music at Brown University, he also teaches pre-college students in Concord, MA at the Fenn School, Cocord Academy and Concord Carlisle High School. With more than 25 years of teaching experience, his students have gone on to attend major conservatories and perform in many diverse settings.

Mr. Ronkin earned the Master of Music degree from Northwestern University where he studied with Chicago Symphony legend Dale Clevenger. He benefited from additional coachings with tubist Arnold Jacobs, trumpeter Vincent Cichowicz, and other members of the Chicago Symphony. He also holds a Bachelor of Music in composition from Memphis State University and pursued doctoral study at Boston University, where his principal teacher was the renowned Eric Ruske.
